This cycling tour through the Zuidplas turns a day of pedalling into a little game: along the way you collect stamps as a memento of your route. You start in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, follow the Hollandse IJssel and the Rotte, and connect four villages into a loop through the region.
In this playbook you cycle from west to north and back again. You take a break in Zevenhuizen, pick up your stamp in the historic Moerkapelle and collect the last one at the tourist centre in Waddinxveen. Along the way you pass picturesque villages, waterways and plenty of birds, with the wind at your back and the sun on your face.

Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel
Starting point of the stamp cycling tour through the Zuidplas
Start in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, the westernmost point. Cycle along the Hollandse IJssel heading east.
Follow the Rotte northward, past picturesque villages and plenty of birds. You collect your first stamp in Zevenhuizen.
Suggestion: Take a moment to rest and enjoy the view.Continue cycling to Moerkapelle, a charming village with beautiful old buildings. Here you pick up your second stamp and grab a bite to eat.
Finish in Waddinxveen, where you collect your final stamp at the tourist centre. From there it is a short ride back to the starting point.
