From the IJsselkade, the Worpplantsoen on the other side and the Wilhelminabrug overhead are within ten minutes. The river is wide enough here to cross paths with commercial traffic without any stress, as long as you keep to the starboard bank and watch out for wash. Three hours is plenty for a trip downstream and back, with Deventer's Hanseatic skyline in view on both sides.
