Katendrecht was ooit de ruige havenbuurt van Rotterdam en is nu een van de hipste plekken van de stad. Je wandelt langs de Wilhelminapier en steekt de Rijnhavenbrug over, in de volksmond de Hoerenloper, met onderweg een prachtig uitzicht op de skyline. Aan de overkant lig je op een paar minuten van HIJS aan de Veerlaan, waar de wandeling zichzelf beloont.
Bij HIJS scheppen ze ambachtelijk ijs van verse ingrediënten, van klassieke vanille en chocolade tot avontuurlijke combinaties zoals lavendel-honing.
