The largest landscape artwork in the Netherlands rolls like a sea of grass

In 1982, Piet Slegers brought the lost Zuiderzee back to the polder: five hectares of rolling grass hills and blue-grey shell paths. Two footbridges lead you into the artwork, after which you wander freely among the earthen waves. A serene spot where you can literally feel that you are standing on the old seabed.
