Adventurous wildlife park with nature playground
AquaZoo Leeuwarden is about twenty minutes from Akkrum and is designed entirely with families in mind. Between the animal enclosures you will find tree trunks, little bridges, adventure trails and play areas, plus a nature playground and a small petting zoo with goats and rabbits. You can see animals up close: crocodiles, polar bears, seals, penguins, wallabies, giant otters and flamingos.

Story
Not a zoo where you simply walk from one fence to the next, but a green park where children keep moving along the way. Compact and calm enough for half a day with a toddler, with plenty to discover for everyone. Pushchairs welcome, children up to and including two years old get in free.
