Diergaarde Blijdorp is a progressive zoo in Rotterdam, founded in 1857, that actively commits to nature restoration and species conservation. The park covers 25 hectares and is home to more than 5,600 animals and plants, spread across multiple zoogeographic zones such as the Asian rainforests, the African savanna and the Himalaya region. With special attractions like the Oceanium, Amazonica and Arctica, Blijdorp is one of the most beautiful and most visited zoos in Europe.
