Walking across a seventeenth-century fort on the Old Dutch Waterline.
This fort from 1673 was built after the Disaster Year, at the narrowest point of the Old Dutch Waterline. You walk along the ramparts, past centuries-old powder houses and beside the water that once had to hold back the enemy. The grounds are freely accessible on weekdays and breathe history at every step.

The grounds are freely accessible Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 16:00. On weekends the fort is closed to individual visitors. Please note: the fort may be exclusively hired out for an event, so call ahead to avoid disappointment.
