Golf & Country Club Lauswolt is the oldest golf club in Friesland, founded in 1964, and is tucked away on a wooded estate of more than 100 hectares near Beetsterzwaag. The 18-hole course alternates between dense forests, open heathland and surprising water hazards along the Koningsdiep.
Visitors with a valid handicap certificate are welcome for a green-fee round; afterwards they can head to the club restaurant Birdy's & Bites. The resort, including the adjacent five-star hotel Landgoed Lauswolt, has been named the best golf resort in the Netherlands by Leading Courses.
