Tucked among centuries-old oaks in the IJssel valley, the 9-hole golf course of Kasteel Engelenburg forms part of the historic Landgoed Groot Engelenburg estate in Brummen. The course was laid out in 1988 and expanded in 2001 into a par 72 layout, designed by renowned English golf course architect Donald Steel.
Golfers tee off on grounds where 16th and 17th-century nobility once hunted game, with a standout feature being the tee beside a 400-year-old ice cellar. The castle itself serves as the clubhouse and is home to a luxury hotel and restaurant.
