Groningse Golfclub Duurswold is situated on the southern shore of the Schildmeer in Steendam and features a 9-hole competition course with A-status, a driving range, and a public 6-hole par-3 practice course. The course, designed by Jol Golfdesign and opened in 2011, combines wooded holes that demand precision with open holes and sweeping views over the Groningen landscape.
Both beginners and experienced golfers are welcome: green-fee players can book tee times online, and the par-3 course is accessible without a GVB. The clubhouse with terrace offers catering facilities and a convivial atmosphere after your round.

The course is playable daily from sunrise to sunset. The clubhouse is open during the summer period from 09:00 to 18:00; on Mondays through Thursdays until approximately 21:00. Playing before 09:00 or after 18:00 is only possible in the company of a member. Guests are advised to call ahead, particularly for early or late starts.
