What started as a popular food truck in Capelle aan den IJssel is now a real toko on the Rivierweg. Henk Harpal cooks Surinamese food the way he always has: fresh and homemade, from chicken curry and salt cod rolls to bami, roti and bara's. Order at the counter, take it away or eat in, and taste why the neighbourhood has adored him for years. Open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 19:00.

Story
Henk Harpal ran his food truck in Capelle aan den IJssel for years, including at David Lloyd, and became a well-known name in the region. On 1 July 2026 his lifelong dream came true: his own toko on the Rivierweg. The AD wrote about it and his regulars simply followed him there.
