Jachthaven De Hoop
Amsterdam, Noord-Holland
A 1936 harbour rescued by two shipwrights.
The harbour dates from 1936. In 1986 two old school friends started a boat carpentry business nearby called Woodcraft, and in 2000 they got the chance to buy the harbour next door. They took it, restored the place and now run maintenance, repairs, storage and brokerage from the same water in Amsterdam-Zuid.
