Kop in de Wind
Harlingen, Friesland
Sailing weekends on the Wadden Sea with the Thetis: clear your head, nose in the wind.
Kop in de Wind organises small-scale sailing trips with the Thetis, a Bavaria 46 for a maximum of six guests. In spring and autumn you sail weekends across the Wadden Sea, usually departing from the harbour of Harlingen; the home port is Warns in Friesland. In summer the boat is based in Granville and you sail legs of ten to twelve days around Brittany. Something special: skipper Edward also guides people who are nervous about sailing or outright afraid of it. No experience needed, just the desire to join in.

Story
Behind Kop in de Wind is skipper Edward van Mieghem, who made a profession out of clearing people's heads. The trips are kept deliberately small: with a maximum of six guests on board you are crew, not a passenger. You help hoist the sails, take the helm and learn to read the tidal flats, whether you are stepping on board for the first time or have been sailing for years.
