Climb inside a working polder mill and discover how Amsterdam keeps its feet dry.
This thatched polder mill on the edge of the village of Sloten still pumps water and is open to visitors every day. During the guided tour you climb to just below the sails and, in the adjacent Kuiperijmuseum, you can see how wooden barrels were made. Round off the visit with a stroll through the old village.
