Step inside a reconstructed Roman fort and come face to face with a Roman ship.
In Leidsche Rijn, a complete Roman castellum has been reconstructed on the very spot where it stood two thousand years ago. Inside, you can admire an excavated Roman river vessel with its complete inventory, while outside you walk along the fort walls that once marked the ancient imperial border. Admission is free, so you can just pop in.
