Vast freshwater tidal area with creeks, beavers and rich birdlife.

National Park De Biesbosch is the largest freshwater tidal area in Europe, located on the border of Zuid-Holland and Noord-Brabant. The park consists of a labyrinth of creeks, willow forests and reed fields, shaped by the interplay of tides over more than 600 years. Visitors can walk, cycle, canoe and glide along the water in whisper boats, with the chance to spot special animals such as beavers, ospreys and white-tailed eagles. The park attracts more than 1.5 million visitors each year.
