Oldehove Leeuwarden
Leeuwarden, Friesland
The leaning tower of Friesland.
The leaning tower of Leeuwarden tilts even more than the famous tower of Pisa. It was never completed, because it began to subside during construction in 1529. Climb 183 steps to the top, where you have views over the Frisian capital. Once inside, you immediately notice the tilt, which gives a rather peculiar feeling.
