The harbour of Vlieland sits where the woods meet the beach, a fifteen minute walk from the village. It keeps room for around three hundred visiting boats and is the only marina on the island, which makes it the gateway for anyone crossing the Wadden Sea under sail. Tides rule everything here, so the harbour publishes its own tide and weather readings.

Het havenkantoor is geopend van 08:00–11:00 en 15:00–17:00. De haven is seizoensgebonden open (globaal april t/m september volledig operationeel). Winter 2026/2027 (1 oktober 2026–31 maart 2027): tijdelijk gesloten voor passanten vanwege damwandvervanging.
