Genneper Hoeve is located in the Genneper Parken area on the southern side of Eindhoven. It is a working city farm with cows, sheep, chickens and a vegetable garden, free to enter during regular opening hours. The spot works best for children aged two to four: for school-age children the scale is too small and the pace too slow, but for toddlers that is exactly the point.
A toddler needs ten minutes just to look at a chicken. Not to learn anything, but simply to stand quietly beside it. Genneper Hoeve allows for that. There is an outdoor play area with wooden features, an indoor space where you can take shelter when it rains, and benches beside every enclosure. An hour and a half is a natural fit: one loop past the animals, a break, a second loop past the same animals.

Park at the Genneper Parken car park and walk to the farm, about five minutes.
Start at the chickens, they are the easy entry point: smallest animals, closest by, easiest to observe.
Let the toddler stand beside an enclosure for ten minutes without steering what she should be looking at.
Walk a loop past the cows, sheep and goats at the child's pace, not at an adult pace.
Do a second loop past the same animals; repetition is exactly what a toddler wants.
For a two-year-old, passing the same chicken a second time beats any new attraction.

- Wear wellies or sturdy shoes, the paths get muddy in wet weather.
- Bring your own bread or fruit, there is no shop or kiosk on site.
