The wind hits less hard here than on the Oosterschelde and the Grevelingenmeer, making it more suitable for anyone who wants to hold the tiller for the first time or is looking for a calm day on the water without any stress.
A day charter usually departs from Kortgene or Wolphaartsdijk. After a short briefing the boat heads out onto the lake, past Mosseleiland and the Goudplaat. Dropping anchor near a small island is easy, the water is clear and the shallow sections warm up quickly. Lunch on deck, swimming from the swim ladder, and a final tack back with Veere in sight.
