Get your lawn green and healthy
2 h€ 50 Calm
A morning's work and your grass will look better for weeks. Mowing, fertilising, and watering the right way, without the hassle.
A neat green lawn is not a matter of luck but of routine. With sharp blades you mow without fraying the grass, and by not cutting it too short, around four to six centimetres, it stays full and healthy. During the growing season you do this roughly once a week, and always on dry grass so you don't leave clumps behind.
Fertilising in spring and autumn gives the roots what they need, as long as you stick to the dosage on the packaging and water well afterwards. Water early in the morning, deeply and not too often, so the roots grow downward instead of staying near the surface. These three actions together make the difference between a struggling patch of grass and a garden you actually enjoy walking on.
Check that your mower blades are sharp and mow on dry grass. Keep the height at four to six centimetres, roughly once a week during the growing season.
Suggestion: Mowing with dull blades frays the grass and causes it to yellow.Fertilise in spring and autumn with a suitable fertiliser. Read the dosage on the packaging, because over-fertilising burns the grass rather than helping it.
Suggestion: Use a spreader for an even distribution. After fertilising, give the lawn a thorough watering so the granules dissolve and are absorbed.
Water early in the morning, deeply but not frequently. This encourages the roots to grow downward and makes the grass more resistant to drought.
