Ice cream and play farm Boereiis is located between Terherne and Akkrum, in the heart of the Frisian countryside. Children play freely in the play meadow with a sandpit, go-karts, climbing frames, seesaws and a bouncy castle in the Frisian flag design, and can see the goats up close. The ice cream is made from the milk of the farm's own cows. For a small fee, the farmer gives a tour of farm life, taking in the milking parlour and the machinery.
