From the corner of Zuidwal and Pettelaarseweg you step straight from the city centre into the polder. You can walk or cycle among reed beds, grazing cows and meadow birds, with the towers of the Sint-Jan as a backdrop behind you. The loop along the Dommel is a classic for a breath of fresh air in between the bustle of the city.
