A 24-hour team outing on a sailing ship puts business life on pause. From the moment the gangplank is pulled in, the group is dependent on each other and on the skipper. There is no wifi around the corner, no catering standing in the hallway. What happens on board, happens by the team itself.
The day consists of sailing, cooking together in the galley, and a work session on the aft deck or in the hold. Topics that are hard to get on the table in the office often take a different turn out on the water. After dinner there is room for drinks under the stars. The next morning breakfast is served, you sail back to the home port, and moor. The group steps off the ship differently than they stepped on.

Book a ship via BootBootBoot that suits the group size, clippers and barges are suitable for 10 to 30 people.
Draw up a programme with sailing, a two-hour work session, cooking together, and an evening activity.
Divide roles: one group does the shopping, one group takes care of the work session, one group arranges music and games.
Schedule the work session at a quiet moment, for example after departure or the next morning before mooring.
Ask the skipper to actively participate by explaining the ship, this brings the team together in a different way.
Close with a round on deck where everyone mentions one thing they are taking back to the office.

- Keep the work session short, two hours is already a long time on a ship.
- Bring a whiteboard or large sheets of paper, screens work poorly on board.
