Schiedam, Zuid-Holland
Climb the tallest windmill in the world and take home freshly milled flour
De Walvisch is one of the towering post mills of Schiedam, the tallest in the world, built for the jenever industry. You climb up to the panorama loft for a film projection about the Giants of Schiedam, then step outside onto the stage for a view over the city. Downstairs, you can buy artisanal flour that is genuinely milled here in the mill shop.
