Descend into an armoured fort from 1881 that guarded the port of Rotterdam.
In this armoured fort, soldiers once watched over the mouth of the Nieuwe Waterweg. You wander through dark corridors and casemates, explore the coastal defence museum and hear stories about a century and a half of harbour defence. Outside, you walk across the fort grounds and see just how massive the armoured turrets really are.
