De eerste keer een drone opsturen is spannend, en met de juiste voorbereiding ook gewoon leuk. Lees eerst de handleiding, laad de batterijen volledig op, monteer de propellers correct en controleer of de firmware up-to-date is. Maak een checklist met reserveaccu's, SD-kaarten en accessoires.
In Nederland gelden duidelijke regels: houd je aan de hoogtebeperkingen, blijf uit de buurt van luchthavens en bevolkte gebieden, en respecteer privéterrein. Check de actuele regels bij de officiële luchtvaartautoriteiten voor je gaat. Kies voor je eerste vlucht een ruim, open veld zonder obstakels en oefen opstijgen, landen en navigeren. Vlieg niet bij regen of harde wind, houd je drone altijd in zicht, en leer hoe je een noodlanding uitvoert. Daarna kun je beginnen te spelen met camerahoeken voor mooie luchtbeelden.
