Better golf 3 of 8: Chipping in the garden
One club, one landing spot, twenty minutes. Chipping is a small swing done with intent, and you can learn it on any patch of grass.

Put a towel three metres away. Chip ten balls with a pitching wedge, ball back in the stance, weight left, hands ahead.
Suggestion: The towel is the landing spot, not the target.Move the towel to six metres. Same swing, slightly longer.
Suggestion: Let the loft do the work. No scooping.Change club: a 9 iron to the same towel. Watch how much further the ball runs.
Suggestion: Write down the run-out per club.Ten chips with your eyes on the landing spot until the ball lands.
Suggestion: Trust the swing, watch the flight.Pick the club you trusted most. That is your go-to chip for the course.
Suggestion: One reliable shot beats five okay ones. For anyone copying this
